Refund Policy
At Real Language Experience, we want you to feel confident in your learning journey. This page explains our refund process, eligibility, and how we handle requests, so you know exactly what to expect if a course isn’t the right fit. Please read the policy carefully to understand your rights and our commitments.

This policy applies to all our language courses, events and workshops offered to adult learners (ages 18+). Our aim is to keep things clear, fair, and easy to understand while honouring our commitments to tutors, venues, and small-group learning.

1. Cancellations Before the Course Begins
You may cancel your place up to 14 days before the course start date and receive a full refund. Cancellations made between 3 and 13 days before the start date are eligible for a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than 3 days before the start date, including within 48 hours, are not refundable, as tutors and rooms will already have been confirmed.
NOTE: If minimum numbers are not met and we need to cancel the course, you will receive a full refund or may choose to transfer to another course.

2. Bookings Made Less Than 7 Days Before the Start Date
If you book close to the start date, the refund window adjusts automatically. If you cancel within 24 hours of booking (and before the course begins), you will receive a full refund. If you cancel after 24 hours but more than 48 hours before the first session, you will receive a 50% refund. If you cancel within 48 hours of the first session, no refund is available. This ensures a fair cooling-off period for late bookings while protecting scheduled teaching.

3. After the Course Has Started
Once the course has begun, refunds are not available if you miss sessions for personal reasons such as illness, travel, or work commitments. Refunds are also not available if you decide to withdraw part-way through the course.

4. Course Changes Made by Us
If we need to make changes due to tutor illness, extreme weather, or other circumstances outside our control, we may provide a substitute tutor, reschedule a session, or move a session online. If a session is cancelled and no suitable alternative can be offered, you will receive a refund for that session only. This may take the form of a voucher redeemable against lessons for the continuation course.

6. Voucher Option (At Our Discretion)
In some circumstances, and at our discretion, we may offer a voucher for the full value of the course instead of a refund. The voucher will be valid for 18 months from the date of issue and can be used towards any of our language courses, workshops, or events.

7. How Refunds Are Issued
Refunds are processed to the original payment method. Please allow 5 to 10 working days for funds to appear in your account.
